Tow boat service to the heart of the Park! Save several days of paddling and enter the Quetico Park or the BWCAW at their origin. Our towboats drop you off at the entry point of your choice for the Quetico Park- Bottle Portage, McAree, Black Robe, Twin Falls(Maligne River), Beaver House, and Snake Falls (Three Mile). We also drop off anywhere along the Canadian side of Lac La Croix for a quick entry into the Boundary Waters: Snow Bay, Takumich area, Lady Boot Bay, Tiger Bay and Bottle Portage. Save days of paddling and be dropped right at the doorway of the Quetico or Boundary Waters!

Tow Boat Service Route

Our landing at Scott’s Marina on Crane Lake, is just 25 minutes from U.S. HWY 53 at Orr, Minnesota. It is 9.5 hours from Chicago, ILL, 4 hours from Minneapolis or St. Paul and 2.5 hours from Duluth, Minnesota. The expert or novice can take advantage of our unique towboat service from Crane Lake , MN. (The route begins in Crane Lake (Scott’s Marina) across Crane, into Sand Point Lake (with a quick stop at Canada Customs) onto the Little Vermilion River, Loon Falls Portage, Loon Lake, Beatty Portage and on to Lac La Croix and the portage of your choice.

Tow Boat Rates

 

$250.00 round trip per person for drop off at Bottle Portage, McAree, Twin Falls, Tiger Bay Area and Lady Boot Bay area. Tows dropping off closer to the west end of Lac La Croix run $200.00. Add $100.00 round trip for your own private canoe. One way tow service is also available for $130.00 per person and $50.00 per canoe.

We make traveling to the western edge of both Parks an adventure in itself. Leave Crane Lake in our 24ft O’quawka Tow Boats and travel in comfort through the scenic Little Vermilion River to Lac La Croix and on to the entry point of your choice. No more loading and unloading of gear… groups of four to ten people $250.00 round trip per person. (group size 3 or smaller? Call us to arrange a grouping).
